Over the past several weeks, Kathleen resolved three separate personal injury cases with a combined compensation recovery totaling nearly $2 million dollars for her clients. Here are some details about the cases:
1. $850,000 Recovery for Rear-End Accident Victim
Kathleen recovered an $850,000 award through binding arbitration for a construction company owner who was struck from the rear in a motor vehicle collision in Lakewood, NJ.
Kathleen’s client suffered severe injuries to his neck and low back which required extensive physical therapy, pain management injection and, when those treatments failed, surgery involving a two-level cervical discectomy and replacement. Kathleen’s client continues to receive physical therapy and pain management injections to manage the symptoms caused by his injuries.
2. $675,000 Settlement for Pothole Trip and Fall Victim
Kathleen represented a man who was injured after he tripped and fell due to a pothole located in the parking lot of an East Brunswick service area rest stop. Kathleen’s client sustained a hip fracture requiring an immediate partial hip replacement. When that surgery failed, her client subsequently underwent a total hip replacement.
Accounting for her client’s medical expenses and ongoing disabilities resulting from his injuries, Kathleen was able to negotiate a $675,000 settlement with the premises owner.
3. $350,000 Settlement for Victim Rear-Ended by School Bus
Kathleen secured a $350,000 settlement for a motor vehicle accident victim who was struck from behind by a school bus in Waretown, NJ. Her client suffered injuries to her neck that ultimately required her to undergo a two-level anterior discectomy and fusion surgery. Kathleen’s client also suffered injuries to her low back which may necessitate surgery in the future.
