In April, Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Partner Kathleen M. DiGiovanni secured a six-figure recovery for a client who suffered multiple injuries in a motor vehicle collision.
The accident occurred in May 2019 in Howell, NJ when our client’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door by another motor vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign.
As a result of the collision, our client sustained two herniated discs in her neck, as well as injuries to her ankle and lower back. When conservative treatment failed to provide any relief or improvement of her symptoms, our client underwent a two-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.
Ultimately, the Defendant driver admitted to causing the collision and was therefore liable for resulting damages. Kathleen was successful in settling the case for $285,000, which was the remainder of the Defendant’s auto insurance policy limits after property damages were paid. The settlement will provide needed compensation for our client’s surgery and medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
