Adam Rothenberg, a Levinson Axelrod, P.A. Partner from our Edison office, recently secured more than $1.2 million in compensation for a client who was injured in a rideshare accident.
Adam’s client was a passenger in a rideshare vehicle which was struck by another motorist attempting to make a left turn from a driveway. As a result of the collision, Adam’s client suffered injuries to her back and required an interbody fusion of her L5-S1 disc. She was also left with considerable medical expenses arising from her treatment.
In litigating the case, Adam was able to recover compensation from two separate sources. First, he obtained a settlement from the at-fault driver of the left-turning vehicle. Second, because his client still had considerable damages that were not covered by the at-fault driver’s available insurance, Adam obtained a settlement from the rideshare company’s underinsured motorist coverage.
Ultimately, Adam was successful in recovering a total of $1,225,000 for his client.
