Levinson Axelrod, P.A. has been fighting for the rights of accident victims, workers, and their families across New Jersey for more than 85 years. Founded in 1939 by Jacob Levinson, our law firm got its start representing injured factory workers in communities throughout Central New Jersey who needed someone to help protect their rights after being injured on the job.
Today, our firm is led by Jacob’s son, Richard Levinson, and has grown into one of the state’s largest plaintiff's personal injury law firms. Since our founding, we have remained a family-operated firm. In our efforts to assist as many people in our community as possible, members of our law firm are fluent in English, Spanish, German, Greek, Russian, and Portuguese.

Another distinction of our firm is that 10 of our active partners have been certified either in Civil Trial Law or Workers’ Compensation Law in the state of New Jersey. Certification is achieved by only 3% of practicing lawyers, and it is easy to see why—the certification process rigorously evaluates an attorney’s trial experience, performance, and knowledge.
Performance reviews are conducted by the judges before whom an attorney has appeared, as well as the adversaries that have worked against our lawyers. It also includes an extensive written examination that tests an attorney’s expertise in his or her practice area. In the end, when an attorney has achieved certification, it means their opponents and previous judges acknowledged and approved of their legal expertise.

’97 brought some closure to us in terms of the case being settled out of court. For this we are grateful. But when we think grateful, we think of you.
