Biography

Joseph Siclari is an experienced and aggressive trial attorney who has spent his entire legal career in the realm of civil litigation, with a primary focus on representing injured individuals in the Superior Court of New Jersey and in the Workers' Compensation courts. Joe handles many cases involving auto collisions, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, premise liability matters including fall-down cases, as well as wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases.

Joe is recognized by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by only 3% of all New Jersey Attorneys.  Joe has argued and won at all levels of New Jersey Courts, having won in the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Division, aside from many trial victories, and has obtained multiple million-dollar awards for his clients.

Born in Jersey City and raised in Metuchen, he attended the prestigious St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, NJ prior to enrolling in the University of Delaware. There he studied mechanical engineering before transitioning to a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice with eyes on a career in law.  He was teaching assistant for Charles Oberly, the former Attorney General to the State of Delaware.  After graduating, Joe stayed in Delaware and attended Delaware Law School in Wilmington, Delaware. Joe graduated in 2011 and was then admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the Federal District of New Jersey.  Joe was a former partner in a Jersey City personal injury firm prior to joining the team at Levinson Axelrod.

Over his career, Joe has secured millions of dollars of settlements and jury awards for his clients.  Personalized attention, knowledge of substantive law and a willingness to battle on behalf of his clients are the tools he credits with achieving the most positive results.

In his personal life, Joe is an award-winning custom car builder, with his customized 1961 Oldsmobile and 1957 Ford having taken top awards at major national shows and garnering international magazine features.  Joe is also an avid ice hockey player, and is also head coach of a NJ Rockets mites hockey team.  Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, golfing, and playing guitar.

I hired Mr. Siclari to represent me as my attorney for an auto accident that I unfortunately was injured in. Soon after I reached out to him I was glad that I did. Joseph began by providing detailed explanations of the process that we would be undertaking and was patient when I needed to pause and ask questions. Sometimes the legal verbiage that is used can seem daunting and confusing to people and, in this regard, I was no exception. Joe excels at breaking this language down into something that individuals not involved in the legal industry can process and understand. This was extraordinarily appreciated as it took some of the fear out of what seemed like a daunting task. During my time working with Joe he provided me counsel regarding all aspects of my case and guided me through the complicated task of dealing with medical and insurance providers. Of course, this is the whole purpose of lawyers but Joe is a bit different. While things proceeded I always felt that I wasn't alone had someone looking out for my best interest that would be honest with me regardless of the situation. If it wasn't for him I can say for certain that my situation wouldn't have gone as well as it did. There are many reasons people hire legal representation but to me the trust Joe established was an important aspect of why I would also recommend Joe to anyone in need of an attorney in the future. – C.K.

After a difficult time with a firm that was dishonest, I hired Joseph and had a completely different experience. He was easy to reach, always answered questions thoroughly, and was upfront about the entire personal injury legal process. He was honest from the beginning about all of the possible outcomes, and I found him to be trustworthy and genuinely concerned about me. In the end, he secured a settlement more than I had ever imagined. I strongly recommend him because of his legal abilities, his work ethic, and his trustworthiness. – P.M.

I was fortunate to be paired up with Joe due to a friend’s reference, and I'm extremely glad I was. Having never been through an experience like I went through, I was a bit nervous. Joe was available every step of the way to answer questions, keep me updated, and give me advice. He was never pushy, always understanding, and great at explaining why it was best to proceed a certain way when making suggestions or detailing how he was working behind the scenes. His knowledge and experience ultimately led to a positive outcome in relatively short order, and from very early on knowing he was on my side removed almost all of the stress from the situation. Honestly, can't recommend him highly enough based on my experience. If you find yourself in a situation where someone like Joe is needed, do yourself a favor: give him a call and just talk over your situation with him. I think if you do he'll be the last call you make, and you'll likely end up as pleased as I was with my results. – J.M.
