In 1939, my father, Jacob Levinson founded this firm in Perth Amboy, in partnership with Woodbridge Judge Andrew Desmond. The law firm began representing workers who were injured in the course of their employment against major corporations, and the firm has always devoted itself to representing common, every day people against big and powerful opponents.
I grew up with injured plaintiffs and their problems, often visiting my father’s office until I began my career with his firm in 1954....
He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar the following year.
Bob was a past president of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
David attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and graduated in 1964. While at Brown University, David was a varsity soccer player on a team that achieved substantial success and a competitive sailor on a team that did not. Thereafter, David attended Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C., and graduated in 1967.
David joined Levinson Axelrod in 1968 and has never looked back.
Ronald Grayzel has been a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer since 1977 and has been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Lawyer since 1984. He has routinely represented victims of automobile accidents, medical malpractice, work injuries and victims of crimes. Ron has won many large verdicts and/or settlements on behalf of members of families who have been seriously or fatally injured.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Ron was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2010.
Pat obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University in 1975. He received his law degree from Ohio Northern University Law School in 1978, and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar the same year.
Pat is a member of the Executive Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the New Jersey Bar Association, and a member of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association.
Rich Marcolus is a workers’ compensation and employment law advocate with over 20 years experience. He is a Certified Workers’ Compensation lawyer and is licensed in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the NRCC Carpenters Local #253 Union. It was while working as a carpenter watching abuses by employers and insurance companies that he decided to become a workers compensation/employment/personal injury attorney.
Jim graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1979. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1983 and his law degree from the University of Dayton in 1986. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar the same year.
Prior to joining the firm, Jim was a judicial law clerk.
He graduated from Trenton State College in 1987, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, as well as a Minor in Psychology. While in college, he also played varsity football.
As an attorney, Adam L. Rothenberg has only represented the rights of those who are injured as the result of another’s negligence: plaintiffs. This is a cause for which he is passionate. Adam focuses his practice on a broad range of complex litigation cases, especially in the areas of medical malpractice and nursing home litigation, as well as product liability, construction and automobile accidents.
He practices both in the New Jersey’s State Superior and Appellate Courts as well as in Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Brett grew up very close to our Edison office and started working for Levinson Axelrod as a clerk while he was still in law school. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and then attended the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State where he was honored as a member of The Order of the Barristers.
More recently, Brett was selected as a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers in 2011.
Kim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Syracuse University in 1992 and received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in 1996. She is admitted to the New Jersey and District of Columbia bars.
As a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, Kim concentrates on handling personal injury and malpractice claims utilizing the state of the art courtroom technology. Outside the office, she frequently lectures on Automobile Insurance and the Verbal Threshold/Limitation on Lawsuit Option.
Following college, he earned his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington Delaware in 1997.
He was admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania the same year, and the State of New Jersey in 1998.
Matt graduated from Cook College, Rutgers University in 1996 with a degree in Environmental Policy, Institutions, and Behavior. After graduating from college, Matt was employed as an environmental chemist before deciding to obtain a law degree.
He subsequently attended Seton Hall University School of Law and earned his degree in 2004. While attending law school at night, Matt worked full time for AIG as a claims adjuster handling lead paint poisoning claims.
After medical school, she served in the National Health Services Corps in St. Louis. She then practiced Internal Medicine in California and Virginia before seeking subspecialty training in Cardiology, completing her Fellowship at The Robert Wood University of Medicine and Dentistry in 1992.
Robert joined Levinson Axelrod in August 2010, and works primarily out of the Forked River office. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Levinson Axelrod, Robert was a general practice associate at a Monmouth County law firm.
After law school, Robert served as Law Clerk to the Honorable James McGann, J.S.C., in the Chancery Division, in Monmouth County Superior Court.
Robert is a veteran of the United States Army, and served in numerous capacities as a field artillery officer posted in Iraq, Korea, Georgia, and Oklahoma.
In 2006, Michael graduated with honors from Lehigh University with a triple-major in Literature, History and Journalism. While attending Lehigh, Michael was an active member of the student body, serving as Vice President of the Student Senate, Online Editor for the student newspaper The Brown and White and President of his fraternity.
Brett received his B.A. from Denison University in 2008 where he received a double-major in History and Economics. Following graduation from college, he enrolled in Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Brett received his law degree in 2011 with a concentration in National Security Law and International Law. He received his license to practice law in New Jersey in 2011 and New York in 2012.
Kathleen works out of our Howell and Forked River offices representing personal injury clients in a wide variety of types of accident cases. The opportunity to help victims of negligence following her prior work experience has been a natural evolution in her work in the law.
Prior to joining the firm, he practiced landlord-tenant law as an associate with a firm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
David is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Patrick joined Levinson Axelrod in September 2012 as an associate and works primarily out of the Edison office. He is licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey. Patrick first worked for the firm as a law clerk during law school.
Later in 2003, he matriculated at Seton Hall University School of Law. Brian achieved significant distinction in law school by becoming a Senior Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review and finishing as a finalist in the Eugene Gressman moot court competition.
He was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as a workers’ compensation court adjuster until 1985.
Kevin is the Workers’ Compensation Administrator for our office.
