Workers who have been disabled from their injuries have a right to provisions for their lost income under Social Security. However, not all disabilities are readily obvious, and claims can be denied. When that’s the case, Attorney David Cook provides Levinson Axelrod’s clients with effective and seasoned representation for Social Security disability claims.
As head of the SSD claims department at Levinson Axelrod, P.A., David is wholly devoted to advocating for honest, hard-working men and women who have been harmed by events outside their control. He believes in the power of the law to provide for the wrongfully injured—and he uses his considerable skill to fight for people who need financial support in order to recover and move forward.
Strong Legal Experience
David has clerked for multiple judges during the early part of his legal career. He was a law clerk for a firm in Philadelphia, working in insurance defense litigation. Here he gained valuable experience understanding both sides of an injury or disability claim. He gained insight into how insurance firms attempt to avoid liability when it comes to your injury claim.
He also worked as a research assistant for the Health Law Institute, understanding how personal health and public policy intersect. His experience in this arena serves him today as he builds cases for his clients, who are often suffering from disabilities that require medical testimony and complex paperwork to prove in court.
Before coming to Levinson Axelrod, David worked in landlord-tenant law at a Pennsylvania firm. He is currently admitted to the bar in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
David attended Union College in Schenectady, New York, where he double majored in Political Science and German. After spending some time working for Lidl Corporation in Germany, he pursued a law degree from Widener University School of law.
