A 51-year-old construction worker was killed in a construction accident on the New Jersey Turnpike last Monday.

The man was delivering concrete barriers to a construction site on the Turnpike in Bordentown at around 8 a.m. When the man attempted to unload one of the barriers, it fell on top of him. The concrete barrier, which weighed several-thousand pounds, crushed the man, and he died almost instantly.

The accident is currently being investigated by police departments in New Jersey, as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

A 33-year-old man, who was working on a construction site near New Jersey’s Lenape Park, recently died after being involved in a fatal construction accident.

According to reports, the man was operating a roller when it fell off of an embankment. The man was ejected from the machine and landed underneath the front part of it. His body was crushed by the equipment, and he died at the scene of the accident.

The OSHA is investigating the accident to determine if the roller malfunctioned during the accident and if the man’s employer was at fault for providing unsafe equipment.

Two people were sent to the hospital following a construction accident in Ocean City, N.J. when a scaffold collapsed on the site.

The accident occurred as the men were papering the side of a duplex house and the scaffold in which they were standing on collapsed causing the men to fall 22 feet to the ground. A chain on the scaffold snapped, which caused it to collapse.

The two men, ages 32 and 24, were rushed to the hospital as soon as emergency crews arrived on the scene. One worker broke both wrists and they both complained of back and chest pain. An investigation is underway by officials from the the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Worker killed from injuries sustained in building collapse

A 48-year-old construction worker was pulled from the rubble of a collapsed building after an hour and half of being trapped. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained.

Fire officials have not determined the cause of the explosion that caused a residence for people 55 or older to collapse upon construction workers. Initial reports lead officials to believe that the accident was caused by the construction work going on in the basement that may have released propane rapidly and been triggered by an unknown cause.

Four other workers and two firefighters were also injured in the accident. All but two of the workers have been treated and released, but the other two are listed in stable condition.

A construction worker from New Jersey is being hospitalized after a construction accident in Delaware.

Officials said that the 35-year-old man was repairing a hole when a coworker was trying to attach a bucket to a backhoe. The bucket then slid down the hole after the ground gave way under the weight and trapped the man in the hole. His coworkers and a rescue team were able to get the man out of the steep hole. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
