Board Certification by the Supreme Court of New Jersey is a significant achievement that speaks volumes about the professional abilities of distinguished attorneys. Established in 1980, the Board of Attorney Certification is tasked with recognizing the most accomplished and skilled lawyers throughout the state, and recommends potential candidates to the New Jersey Supreme Court for certification in five areas of law. Kathleen, Rob, and Pat all earned their Certification in Civil Trial Law.
Because Attorney Certification is an accolade earned by only a select group of lawyers statewide, it serves to highlight distinguished lawyers as advocates who have exemplified the highest standards of professional success in their practice areas. In addition to meeting a number of strict requirements established by the Board, attorneys must also demonstrate substantial trial experience and a solid reputation among their legal peers, and pass a rigorous written examination on various aspects of their designated specialty. Board Certification is also intended to help local residents as they search for proven and qualified trial lawyers to assist them in their cases by offering an objective assessment of an attorney’s skills, and reputably certifying attorneys through the state’s Supreme Court.
