A jury in San Diego has returned a $7.5 million verdict in a slip and fall accident lawsuit.
The slip and fall accident took place in a Vista Starbucks in 2008. A customer was leaving the cashier area and walking towards the pick-up counter when he slipped on the floor and struck his head. The fall resulted in a head injury, which left the customer, a chiropractor, unable to return to work.
After 2 and 1/2 weeks of deliberation the jury decided that Starbucks owed the man $7.5 million for income loss as well as medical expenses.
