Man dies in car accident in Eastford

Diego Barreros, 26, of Plainfield, N.J., was killed in a car accident in Eastford, CT on Wednesday.

According to police, the accident occurred at the intersection of Ashford and Westford roads when Barreros’ Mitsubishi GST collided with Ryan Sherman, 20, of Eastford. Barreros was not wearing a seatbelt, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sherman was left uninjured.  Police are still investigating the incident.
