An explosion at a New Jersey biodiesel plant, Innovation Fuel Inc.’s, injured one person after a sulfuric acid leak in a 400-gallon drum inside the plant.
The employee survived the explosion but suffered from third degree burns to nearly 20 percent of his body. The man was working to connect hoses to a methanol truck when the leak occurred in the container behind him. Between 100 to 200 gallons of sulfuric acid leaked causing the explosion.
The president of the plant made a statement saying that stricter safety precautions will be put in place in order to prevent accidents like this from happening again.
Workplace injury lawyers can cause serious injury to everyone involved, our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
