Man charged in fatal motorcycle accident

A 36-year-oldĀ  man from New York was charged with vehicular homicide, assault by auto and driving while intoxicated after a fatal motorcycle accident on I-78.

The man was driving a motorcycle eastbound on I-78 when he rear-ended another motorcycle while in the center lane of the roadway causing both motorcycles flipped over.

A 45-year-old woman on the second motorcycle was killed in the accident, it is thought that she was hit by another vehicle after the collision. A 56-year-old man was seriously injured, but is now in stable condition. The 36-year-old man was also taken to the hospital to be treated. Witnessess told police that the 36-year-old man was driving at a very high speed when the accident occurred.
