Early Friday morning, a dump truck carrying a load of rock salt overturned onto the guardrail of the Howard Boulevard ramp leading to Route 80 east in Roxbury.
The driver lost control of his truck and became trapped inside for several hours after the trunk flipped onto its side. The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital and luckily sustained only minor injures. No one else was injured in the accident. However, the ramp was closed for several hours as rescue crews worked to remove the man from his truck and as the ramp was cleaned for the safety of other drivers.
Trucking accidents often have fatal results. The law team at Levinson Axelrod is thankful that the truck driver escaped without major injuries and that no one else was hurt in the accident.
