Alex R. DeSevo - Partner
Alex is a third generation trial lawyer. His grandfather was the long time Treasurer of the Hudson County Bar Association. His father is still an active trial attorney.
Alex graduated from the George Washington University in 1990 and received his law degree from Pace University School of Law in 1993. While at Pace, Alex was the Editor in-Chief of the Pace Environmental Law Review where he managed a staff of 50 law students publishing legal articles from professors and practicing attorneys. Alex had the honor of getting his article published on the “Admissibility of Scientific Evidence.” Alex was also one of seven students selected by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to work in the Environmental Litigation Clinic representing citizen groups in Federal and State environmental lawsuits.
Following law school, Alex clerked with a Superior Court Judge and then began his initial trial experience as an assistant prosecutor in the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office. As an assistant prosecutor, Alex continued the family tradition of becoming a trial attorney.
Alex lives in Middletown Township, where he grew up, and he is married to Corinne, a nurse at Riverview Hospital. They have two children.
Alex volunteers his time at his local fire company. As when he was in law school, Alex continues his volunteer representation of local citizen groups, including pro bono representation of Belford Families in Action and the Centennial Park Citizens Group. Alex has worked with citizen groups helping them fight cell towers in their neighborhoods. He enjoys representing the underdog.
