THE ATTORNEY CLIENT PRIVILEGE
The attorney client privilege allows a client to assent the privilege in response to any questions concerning conversations between those two parties. For example, it is improper for an attorney to ask my client what we spoke about at our last conference. I would immediately instruct my client not to answer that question. However, there are ways that this privilege may be waived. For example, if there is a third party in the room that is a party to our conversation, my client may have waived his or her right to assent his/her attorney client privilege.
